David Hecht began his music career at age 12, dabbling in Tex-Mex swing, mariachi, latin music and even the funk of the 60's and 70's. David went on to form the acclaimed touring and recording group JAVA, which claimed fans from all over the US, Canada and beyond, performing with such notable artists as Elton John, the Pointer Sisters, Jimmy Buffet, Third World, Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, and Los Lobos.
