Conference Safety Plan

Statement of Commitment to Provide a Safe Environment:

We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all conference attendees. Our priority is to ensure that every participant can engage in the conference without fear of harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate conduct. We believe in fostering a respectful and welcoming atmosphere that promotes collaboration and professional growth.


Expectations of Behavior:

We expect all conference attendees, including speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and participants, to uphold the highest standards of conduct. Harassment, in any form, is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Sexual harassment, such as unwelcome advances, comments, or gestures of a sexual nature.
  2. Racial or ethnic harassment, including derogatory remarks, slurs, or actions targeting someone's race, ethnicity, or nationality.
  3. Any behavior that creates a hostile or offensive environment, based on a person's gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
  4. Intimidation, bullying, or aggressive behavior that interferes with an individual's right to participate in the conference.
  5. Retaliation against those who report violations or support individuals involved in reporting.


Confidential Reporting of Violations:

If you experience or witness any behavior that violates our expectations, we encourage you to report it immediately. Your safety and well-being are our utmost concern. Please follow these steps to confidentially report alleged violations:

  1. Contact any conference organizer directly or the conference administrators found in the main office.

Your confidentiality will be respected, and appropriate measures will be taken to investigate the matter.

 


Assessment of Allegations and Consequences: All allegations will be taken seriously and handled with the utmost care. Conference organizers will promptly investigate reported incidents to determine their validity and severity. Depending on the nature of the violation, consequences for those found to violate the expectations of behavior may include but are not limited to:

  1. Verbal warning or reprimand.
  2. Removal from the conference without refund.
  3. Legal action, if necessary.

Code of Conduct

 

The Conference on International Society for Regenerative Biology is committed to providing an environment a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other protected characteristics. We expect all attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, guests, and exhibitors to help us ensure a safe and positive conference experience in which participants can discover, examine critically, preserve, and transmit knowledge, wisdom, and values that will improve the quality of life for all. If you witness or experience conduct that violates the code of conduct, the conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, and otherwise assist those experiencing harassment, to enable them to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance and want to make your experience as productive and professionally stimulating as possible.


The Conference on International Society for Regenerative Biology is dedicated to the open sharing of scientific ideas. Thus, we support a respectful environment for all participants in this conference. By attending this meeting, participants agree to:

  1. Treat all participants with respect and without bias based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
  2. Please respect others with social media postings. Refrain from photographing, recording, or videotaping during oral presentations or during poster sessions. Violators may be asked to leave the session. Please do not post images with data or people without express permission.
  3. Abide by University of Wisconsin and venue rules, including policies for alcohol consumption.
