Registration
  • You must register for the conference to present. Your confirmation email will include the link to submit your abstract online. 

Attendance

  • Authors of accepted abstracts agree to attend the meeting and present their abstract as scheduled.

Titles/Themes of the Scientific Sessions

  • All abstract authors are asked to choose from one of the scientific sessions below:
    • Session 1: Symbiotic Signaling
    • Session 2: Diversity of Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria
    • Session 3: Nodule Development and Physiology• 
    • Session 4: Genomic and Proteomic Approaches to Symbiosis 
    • Session 5: Physiology and Genetics of Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria
    • Session 6: Associative Fixation and Non-Legumes 
    • Session 7: Physiology and Genetics of the Plant Host 
    • Session 8: Ecology and Evolution of Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation 
    • Session 9: Agricultural Applications of Nitrogen Fixation
  • For purposes of review and programming, abstracts are divided into scientific categories. The committee reserves the right to reassign your abstract to a more appropriate category, if necessary

Length

  • Abstracts are limited to 400 words.

Abstract Submission Dates

  • The deadline for oral abstracts is April 1, 2022 11:59pm CDT. 
  • The deadline for poster abstracts is April 1, 2022 11:59pm CDT. 
  • Submitters will be notified of accepted abstracts by late April.
  • It is the abstract author’s responsibility to register for the conference and present paper as scheduled. 

Confidentially

  • Abstracts are considered official communications to the conference and will be treated confidentially. 
Copyright and Publishing

  • By submitting an abstract, authors and co-authors transfer any copyrights, grant permission to NASNFC, and agree that the submitted abstract can be published in the program book.
