The conference opening reception and lunch will be held in Tripp Commons at the Memorial Union.
As one of the most beloved and historic destinations on campus, Memorial Union is the place to come socialize, relax, study, eat, and enjoy all the beautiful sunsets and lake views that Madison has to offer. Since opening its doors in 1928, it has offered a variety of social and educational activities for UW students, faculty, Wisconsin Union Members, and the Madison community. Situated on the shores of Lake Mendota, the classic architecture of the building boasts a picturesque lakeside view as well as a terrace with 600 colorful sunburst chairs – the perfect spot for an afternoon snack.
Shannon Hall at the Memorial Union will host the Keynote talks on Friday, as well as Saturday's morning and afternoon symposium sessions.
Shannon Hall, located in the Arts and Recreation Wing, is the largest performance space in the Memorial Union. In 2014, the hall was restored to enhance theater experiences while still maintaining its history. As part of the Wisconsin Union Theater, the hall has been a center for cultural activity in the heart of campus for more than 75 years.
The banquet and celebration of BMC's history will be held in Varsity Hall at Union South.
Union South is home to the Badger Bash, a game day celebration that occurs before each home football game. It offers family-friendly activities and performances by the UW Marching Band and UW Spirit Squad. The warmth of this building has revitalized the Camp Randall area of campus.
