2025 WAICU Student Belonging and Success Summit

Organized by Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU) for staff at WAICU-member colleges and universities.

This event will feature notable speakers, interactive sessions, and valuable networking opportunities to elevate and empower leaders who work with students at WAICU-member colleges and universities.

Confirmed speakers include:

Dr. Tia Brown McNair, a Partner at Sova, a higher education consulting firm. She previously served as the Vice President in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Success at the American Association of Colleges & Universities (AAC&U)

Dr. Liz Gross, Founder and CEO, Campus Sonar - Social Intelligence Industry Insights

Dr. Joretta Nelson, Vice Chairman, Credo and Founder of Moving the Needle/Owner

Emmanual A. Guillory, Senior Director, Division of Government Relations, American Council on Education


What you need to know:

  • The summit will be held in person at Alverno College. An online option will be available to help remote participants listen to the presentations, but virtual interaction will be limited. Recordings will not be available after the event.
  • Registration is $50 per person, whether in person or online.
  • Registration includes the cost to attend the sessions, morning coffee/tea, and lunch.
  • Registration deadline is Monday, June 30.
  • All cancellations must be received no later than Monday, July 7, 2025. After this date, all payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. If a cancellation notification is received on or before Monday, July 7, 2025, the registration fee is refundable minus a $14 processing fee. Wisconsin Union Conference Services may require up to ten business days to process and issue a refund.
  • It will be acceptable for a registrant to move from in-person registration to virtual if the change is made in writing to kathy.paul@waicu.org no later than Friday, July 11.
  • WAICU has contracted with Wisconsin Union Conference Services to handle registration, so you may see some emails for confirmation originating from their office.


Who should attend?

Staff at WAICU-member college administrators who work in multicultural affairs, academic affairs, academic advising, student affairs, admissions, disability services, and any student facing office are invited to attend.


This program/project has been funded through a Meeting the Moment grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).
