This is the second iteration of a new workshop series on the subject of Radiation Impact on Superconducting Qubits (RISQ) that will bring together the broader QIS and particle physics communities to assess the effects of radiation and cosmic rays on solid-state qubits, and development of the tools needed to address the challenge. The workshop will take place in Madison, WI on June 16-18, 2026, and will feature two and a half days of invited talks and detailed discussions, as well as a satellite workshop on GEANT4/G4CMP and develop the tools needed for the modeling of energy dissipation in solid-state qubit systems on June 15, 2026. The workshop will include representation across industry, academia, and national labs and encourages participation from scientific communities outside of quantum computing that have expertise or lessons learned from overlapping technical challenges and experience.
