BMC101 Centennial Celebration

Friday, May 27, 2022 & Saturday, May 28, 2022
University of Wisconsin-Madison

In 2012 the BMC department moved from the Medical Sciences Center (far right) to the new Biochemical Sciences Building just west of Henry Mall.

Please join us over Memorial Day weekend 2022 for an event that commemorates this centennial milestone and celebrates both our discoveries and the people who made them possible: BMC 101, a centenary symposium. This year marks a century since the founding of the Department of Physiological Chemistry (now Biomolecular Chemistry) in 1921. At that time, it would have been difficult to imagine the vibrant, diverse, and accomplished department we've become, and we couldn't be prouder of what you have all helped build. Indeed, while we have always prioritized the innovative and collaborative science for which our department is renowned, achievement of this vision has only been possible through the tireless efforts of past and present members of BMC.
