America at 250 Educator Summit

Engaging Learners through Civics, Inquiry, and Media Literacy

Wisconsin Historical Society and UW-Madison Pyle Center

Madison, WI

Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 2:00pm - 5:00pm and Thursday, August 6, 2026, 8:00am - 3:30pm

Join us for the America at 250 Educator Summit, a convening of over 100 educators from around the state to explore innovative,

content-rich strategies for teaching the Revolutionary Era. The event is designed for 3rd-12th grade educators, particularly those

who teach social studies, civics, and history content. Summit activities will center interactive learning and peer collaboration, and

you’ll come away with practical resources and connections to bring history to life in your learning spaces.

We look forward to welcoming you to the summit which is being generously covered by grant funding. ($400 per attendee) Your full

attendance is required to obtain the grant funding for this summit.

Before registering, please ensure that you can attend fully on both days. Attendees will be required to be present to complete an

exit evaluation at the conclusion of the summit experience. Because event capacity in this summit is limited, partial attendance is

not permitted so that attendees can benefit from the full range of expertise and resources shared.

If you must cancel due to unforeseen issues (illness or family emergency), please notify us as soon as possible and preferably no

later than July 1, 2026 so that we can fill your seat with an educator on our waitlist.
